As an essential business, we are continuing to grow and diversify and have an opportunity for a Human Resource Generalist to join our team.
The position will be based out of our Mt Pleasant, PA office.
The Human Resources Generalist assists and coordinates the day-to-day operations of the Human Resources office.
They are also expected to carry out responsibilities in the following functional areas:
employee relations, training and development, departmental development, benefits, compensation, employment and recruiting.
Basic Day in the Life of an HR Generalist:
Performs routine tasks required to administer and execute human resource programs including but not limited to compensation, benefits, and leave; disciplinary matters; disputes and investigations; performance and talent management; productivity, recognition, and morale; occupational health and safety; and training and development.
Assists with updating and communicating all company policies, procedures, etc.
, including the employee handbook.
Process payroll and support business leaders and employees with all payroll related inquiries and issues Conducts new hire orientation and facilitates the onboarding process for all new hires Continuously updates all HR databases, organizational charts, policies and forms.
Assists with annual performance reviews for hourly and salaried workforce.
Assist with employee relations issues and concerns, conducting investigations and working with the business to provide necessary corrective action Assists with the renewal of all health insurance and benefit plans Reviews, tracks, and documents compliance with mandatory and non-mandatory training, continuing education, and work assessments.
This may include safety training, anti-harassment training, professional licensure, and aptitude exams and certifications.
Handles employment-related inquiries from applicants, employees, and supervisors, referring complex and/or sensitive matters to the appropriate staff.
Attends and participates in employee disciplinary meetings, terminations, and investigations.
Maintains knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies in human resources, talent management, and employment law.
Additional duties as required or assigned.
Basic Skills to help you excel:
Verbal and written communication skills.
Proficiency with MS Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook) and CRM, computer programs Exposure with social media outlets in employee engagement, a plus Experience with ADP and payroll processing, a plus.
High level of discretion/confidentiality.
Requires strong problem- solving skills.
Excellent organizational and time management skills.
Ability to work as a team and independently.
Education and/or Experience Minimum of 5 years of HR generalist experience HR experience in manufacturing, construction, engineering or service-related field preferred Bachelors Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Sociology or other related field preferred Your Compensation Package:

The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
