Performs basic direct patient care activities, such as lab tests, treatments, and medication administration. These are performed under the direction of the Nurse Manager and/or the physician in preparation for the patient's examination and treatment. Carries out clerical activities, quality control activities, performance improvement initiatives, etc. in support of the physician practice as assigned.

HS Diploma, GED or equivalent knowledge
Current Basic Life Support (BLS) approved curriculum of the American Heart Association (CPR and AED) program.
Act 73
One Year experience as Medical Assistant in Orthopedic setting or equivalent.
Medical Terminology
Functional Skills on PC and Related Software (Microsoft Office)
Knowledge of basic Office Equipment such as copier, fax machine, etc.
PREFERRED:
Previous outpatient office experience..........Proficient Keyboard Skills .........Experience obtaining insurance referrals, authorizations and scheduling surgeries.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
